HR and Internship Program Coordinator
About Cumorah Academy
Cumorah Academy is a nonprofit leadership academy for young adults, committed to developing character, leadership, and purpose alongside professional excellence.
We operate in a mission-driven, high-trust, high-expectation culture. We do not believe in separating who you are from how you work. Every role at Cumorah Academy directly influences students, families, donors, partners, and future leaders.
This role exists to help participants and team members grow by keeping the people systems behind them organized, consistent, and dependable.
About the Role
We are looking for a self-driven, organized person who takes ownership of PGI program coordination and supports everyday HR operations, with a strong interest in learning and development.
You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Human Resources to keep people, documentation, and follow-up organized. This role combines practical program coordination with employee development support, onboarding, and HR administration.
We particularly value someone who can listen well, help others grow, and follow through on the details. You will support participants and supervisors while helping the HR team deliver a consistent experience.
What You Will Do
Post Graduate Intern (PGI) Program Coordination
- Coordinate the participant journey from intake and placement through orientation, onboarding, completion, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate participant records, required documentation, agreed schedules, progress reports, hours, and completion requirements.
- Serve as the main contact for routine program questions, reminders, and administrative follow-up.
- Coordinate with placement supervisors to confirm assignments, expectations, availability, and participant progress.
- Help resolve scheduling changes, missed commitments, and placement concerns; coordinate reassignment when needed and escalate exceptions to the Senior Manager.
- Prepare intake and completion schedules, track certificate eligibility, and coordinate approved program communications.
PGI intake and completion periods will require temporary changes in priorities within the role. Placement supervisors provide routine work supervision and developmental coaching; you keep the overall program organized and accountable.
Learning and Development Support
- Help employees and participants turn development goals into clear actions and follow-up.
- Research and organize learning resources, training materials, and practical development activities.
- Support onboarding learning plans, training assignments, and development records.
- Assist with preparation and follow-up for employee check-ins and group training; facilitate assigned development conversations under the Senior Manager's direction.
- Listen to concerns, identify barriers to progress, and bring learning or support needs to the appropriate person.
HR Administration and Onboarding
- Maintain authorized employee records, new hire logs, trackers, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Prepare onboarding checklists and approved template documents as assigned; collect information, track signatures, and distribute approved paperwork.
- Coordinate orientation logistics, training assignments, meeting invitations, and routine onboarding and offboarding follow-up.
- Support intern administration by tracking applications, required paperwork, assignments, and access needs.
- Follow up on missing timecards and incomplete entries, coordinating unresolved questions with HR and Finance.
- Keep HR checklists, standard procedures, and approved routine communications up to date.
- Coordinate account and access requests with authorized administrators. Additional account or group setup duties may be delegated as training, performance, and approved permissions develop.
Other HR Duties as Assigned
- Support additional HR projects and administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Human Resources.
- Help address changing HR priorities and improve processes, working within established approval and confidentiality guidelines.
How We Work Together
You will take ownership of day-to-day PGI administration and support HR coordination, working closely with the Senior Manager of Human Resources to align priorities and keep work moving. We value initiative, clear communication,
and practical recommendations, with open conversations about progress and challenges. The Senior Manager provides guidance on complex or sensitive matters and leads formal employment decisions, while supporting your professional growth.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Practical experience helping others learn or develop through coaching, mentoring, training, onboarding, or employee support. This is a key strength for the role.
- Strong written and spoken English and the ability to communicate clearly with an international team.
- Good organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through across multiple people, tasks, and deadlines.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and personal concerns.
- Confidence using spreadsheets, shared documents, calendars, and online collaboration tools.
- Reliable internet, a suitable workspace for video meetings, and dependable availability during agreed working hours.
Helpful Experience
- HR administration, onboarding, or internship and student program support.
- Working with remote teams or people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, ClickUp, GoHighLevel, or similar systems. Willingness to learn our tools is essential.
You May Be a Great Fit If You
- Enjoy helping people grow while keeping practical details organized.
- Take initiative, prioritize your own work, and follow through without repeated reminders.
- Anticipate needs, investigate issues, and bring practical solutions when raising problems.
- Listen well, give constructive feedback, and maintain appropriate boundaries, balancing supportive conversations with clear expectations and accountability.
- Adapt calmly when schedules, participant availability, or priorities change.
- Connect with Cumorah Academy's mission and want to contribute to its students and team.
What We Offer
- A full-time, fully remote role at 40 hours per week, paying USD 8 per hour.
- An international working environment focused on leadership, learning, and service.
- Close collaboration with the Senior Manager of Human Resources and opportunities to strengthen your HR and people development skills.
- The opportunity to take on additional responsibility as your capabilities and the program develop.
