Cerro De Pasco

Company Description Phibion is a integral leader in tailings management, supporting mining operations with solutions that recover water, increase Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) capacity, and improve geotechnical stability. Using patented Australian-engineered Accelerated Mechanical Consolidation (AMC™) technology, Phibion helps mines consolidate tailings in situ, improve deposition efficiency, and reduce the Rate of Rise without the need for filtration plants, chemicals, or major new infrastructure. The company partners with leading mining operations across commodities such as copper, gold, alumina, nickel, mineral sands, and rare earths to deliver safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective tailings solutions. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, Phibion delivers projects across Australia, North America, Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean. Its portfolio includes AMC™, MudMaster® amphibious platforms, autonomous tailings systems, and real-time monitoring tools that help mines extend life and reduce CAPEX and OPEX.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mining Engineer (Colegiado) role based in Cerro de Pasco. The Mining Engineer will support tailings and mine operations by contributing to TSF optimisation, mine planning activities, and water recovery initiatives in alignment with Phibion’s technologies and methodologies. Daily responsibilities include conducting field assessments and geotechnical observations, analysing tailings and mine data, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with site operations teams to improve tailings strength,

trafficability, and overall operational efficiency. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and environmental standards, and supporting the implementation of best practices in tailings management. The Mining Engineer will also assist in identifying opportunities for tailings reprocessing, TSF capacity improvements, and cost-effective operational enhancements.
