We’re Hiring: Assistant Director at Área de Conservación Tapiche

Are you passionate about conservation, community engagement, and working in one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth? We’re looking for a committed and adaptable Assistant Director to join our team in the Peruvian Amazon.

Location: Near Iquitos, Peru (remote Amazon field site)

️ Key Responsibilities

This is a dynamic, hands-on role with a wide range of duties, including:

Administrative support and operational coordination

Community outreach and collaboration

Guiding and guest experience

Managing workflows and team logistics

Supporting hospitality and daily station operations

✅ Requirements

Strong adaptability and willingness to work in a remote environment

Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (essential)

Experience in conservation, tourism, community work, or related fields is a plus





Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset

What We Offer

Long-term employment (planilla) or seasonal contract options

Salary up to 1500 PEN/month (depending on level of experience)

Round-trip transport from Iquitos

Accommodation and meals included

5 days of vacation per month

International Applicants

We are open to international candidates; however, please note:

A 3-month volunteer trial period is required

Opportunity for work visa sponsorship may be considered after successful completion
