Overview of Position:

Working in line with standard operating procedures, CSC Engineers are responsible for investigation, fault finding and configuration of our client’s services.

What you will do:

- Investigate and troubleshoot Incidents relating to client services

- Configuration of client’s services and associated equipment

- Utilize Speedcast’s Incident Management Tool to log and update reported faults from clients

- Interface with customers, technicians, service contractors and vendors to investigate issues and ensure Incidents are rectified or escalated accordingly

- Utilize monitoring and reporting tools to identify and troubleshoot issues

- Assist with ongoing maintenance and upgrade of Speedcast Infrastructure

- Encompass Speedcast’s CAST values in everyday activities

- Keep accurate, detailed and timely records of troubleshooting processes using ticketing system (ServiceNow)

- Provide direction and guidance to Customers and technicians during the trouble-shooting process including but not limited to, remote site equipment problems and issues, networking and routing, testing, and verification of satellite, microwave and RF communication systems.

What we need from you:

- Experience in Satellite Technology

- Proficient in iDirect TDMA platform, SeaTel antennas and Intellian antennas

- Equivalent industry experience of 2+ years

- Hands-on experience of support with remote customers within a network support role

- Ability to communicate professionally to customers.

- Network/IP troubleshooting skills

- Ability to manage workload in-line with standard operating procedures

- Strong analytical thinker

- Excel at solving problems

- Excellent communication skills in English

- Ability to convey technical communications at an appropriate level

- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines

- Ability to work on a shift model (24 x 7 environment) with potential of nights and/or weekends

- Shows Initiative, Team player

- Must be customer focused

- Hands-on Problem Solver

Even better if you have:

- BA/BS Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar

- GVF qualification

- Cisco certifications i.e. ICND or CCNA

- ITIL Foundation Certificate

- Solarwinds & Dataminer experience

- ServiceNow experience
