Get to know us: www.qualifacts.com About the Position The Senior QA is a senior member of the Quality Engineering department and responsible for the test planning and test execution of ongoing software releases and new feature development in an expanded capacity. They play a key role in maintaining the software quality standards in delivering product solutions to our customers and is expected to become a domain subject matter expert in one or more areas of the application and QA discipline. They consistently are able to support parallel initiatives/projects. The individual supports all testing functions throughout the SDLC -- requirements, functional, regression, compatibility/configuration, performance, and other test types as needed. The Senior QA is expected to document and maintain test cases/test plans in a test management repository and log test results and any defects during test execution activities. They work closely with developers and business analysts to identify and reproduce errors in implementation or requirements, and validate resolution. The errors are documented, tracked and updated during the testing cycles in the ticket management system. In addition, they take on project QA lead duties including artifact peer reviews, execution report statuses, and play a prominent role in build and configuration management of the test environments. They further are responsible for both risk escalation and mitigation at the project level. Key Qualifications Associates Degree, Technical Certificate or Bachelor Degree in computer related field or equal work experience 4+ years of Software QA experience in Web, Middleware and/or Mobile applications testing 5-8 years of Software QA experience in Web, Middleware and Mobile applications testing Experience with iterative SDLC processes such as Agile, RUP Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and communicate information including test results and lucidly detail defects using technical writing skills Experience in writing and executing SQL scripts for database level validations Demonstrated initiative within team environments to solve problems and remove blockers Critical analysis thinking to breakdown requirements into test cases Test management tooling experience such as Quality Center or equivalent Working knowledge of automated test toolsets Able to lead QA efforts at the project level and mentor junior team members Manage test estimations and test execution schedules Working knowledge of Change control and configuration management practices Become the SME for owned domains as well as QA disciplines Developed and implemented quality practices across the SDLC Demonstrated ability to work on parallel project initiatives Experience in Grey and/or white box test techniques Working knowledge of Quality Metrics Benefits In Perú, we offer competitive salaries, full Health Insurance (EPS and oncologic) for team members and their direct dependents, fully paid English lessons, and all legal benefits (which includes CTS, 30-day paid vacation per year, life insurance, among others), and other goodies such as free coffee and special celebrations.
