JOB PURPOSE: The CISD Leads and Insights Consultant is responsible for driving STU growth across the region by supporting the ASCs, ASRs and priority dealers to adopt and execute Prioritized Service Events aligned to CISD Strategy. This role will ensure Leads and Insight tools are leveraged to drive incremental growth and to enable a consultative selling approach by the Dealer PSSRs. The sales tools available in the Aftermarket (Cat Inspect, Bucket Pro, CTS, PSEs, Etc) are a competitive advantage and help us proactively support our customers,
and this role will be focused on driving usage for business execution related to Rebuild, Maintenance and Repair.
JOB DUTIES: The Leads and Insights Consultant will work closely with CISD Sales Execution team to as the Regional subject matter expert on Prioritized Service Events and insights tools for aftermarket sales & marketing. The incumbent will define and execute plans to drive increased adoption with CISD sales execution team and priority dealers. This includes owning the training plans to embed leads and insights into go-to-market sales execution, aligning acceleration plans by dealer with ASRs and Sales leaders, consulting on technical capabilities and commercial practices, sharing CI best practices, and representing CISD to PSE product development team and DSD partners to drive continuous improvement. While driving leads usage is a core element of this role, this role will be a connecting point for how we integrate sales tools to improve customer experience and sales effectiveness in the aftermarket.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing / Business)
- Minimum 3 years of field experience or minimum 5 years progressive experience in Aftermarket related business or application marketing & training.
- Understanding of Aftermarket parts and services offerings, Construction Industries product applications and Dealer Marketing, Sales and Operational Processes.
- Advanced English

The Analytics Project Leader contributes to this mission by leading and managing project teams comprised of data scientists, data analysts, and subject matter experts tasked with solving problems of low to medium complexity or business impact. Typical problems include maximizing OPACC through improvements in Inventory Costs, Material Costs, NPI costs, etc; determining the principal drivers of health care costs; recommending the optimal supplier for a part; identifying sales, rental, and service opportunities for Caterpillar dealers; and developing simulation/optimization capabilities to model a new facility or product feature. In addition, would also provide analytic assistance to high-profile enterprise-wide projects such as the Engineered Value Chain. The principal responsibility of Analytics Project Leader is to move from being an individual contributor on analytic project teams to leading the planning and execution for such teams. He or she will form and lead teams of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts. As the project leader the incumbent will be responsible for managing the project charter, team and stakeholder communications, and the overall project plan and budget. The Analytics Project Leader will: - Use knowledge of analytical methods and business acumen to guide cross-functional teams in the chartering and execution of analytics projects; -Manage 3-4 projects concurrently -Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Caterpillar Inc.; its products and services; its internal systems, processes, and procedures; and its relevant external influences (competitors, laws and regulations, market conditions, etc.) to meet or exceed customer expectations. -Serve as the principal communicator with clients and internal stakeholders regarding project status. Significant challenges of this position are working with people: enhancing the team’s creativity; facilitating the team’s cooperation; clearly communicating the requirements and tasks, while gaining input from the team on refinement of same; translating both verbal and non-verbal information from the customer, management and team members. The Analytics Project Leader acts as a spokesperson for the team in meetings, with multiple levels of management, and with the customer. As Project Leader, the incumbent must develop strong internal networks to enable them to obtain resources and cooperation needed and remove roadblocks so that they can insure the success of their project team. The Analytics Project Leader bears primary responsibility for meeting customer expectations for the projects they are leading. The Analytics Project Leader demonstrates thorough knowledge of analytical approaches/techniques and the ability to handle typical project issues. The position should demonstrate very good communication skills, planning and organization, and is able to explain conclusions to customers who have limited knowledge and experience with quantitative analytical methods. As the first of two project-leading analytic positions, they are not expected to have previous experience leading teams or in project management, but they should exhibit strong personal planning and organization skills, above average initiative, ability to delegate tasks, and leadership and interpersonal skills. The position should also have a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar Inc.; its products and services; its internal systems, processes, and procedures; and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s external customers, competitors, and market influencers. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in statistics, economics, mathematics, or a similar field with quantitative coursework, and 7-10 years of professional experience utilizing quantitative analysis is required, a Master’s degree and 4-6 years of experience, or a PhD and 1-3 years of experience in relevant experience. Must be comfortable working in industry standard statistics & data visualization. Must demonstrate strengths in leadership, customer focus, planning and organizing, initiative, interpersonal skills, and communications.
