What You’ll Own

- The Accounting Function: Run day-to-day accounting end to end, from the general ledger and AP/AR to payroll accounting and fixed assets.
- Close & Financial Statements: Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and prepare accurate financial statements under US GAAP.
- Review & Quality: Review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules before they reach US leadership, and hold the team to clear quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and set priorities for accountants and assistants, keeping delivery on track against close deadlines.
- Policies, Controls & Audit: Maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls, and manage audit and tax requests with external firms.
- Reporting & Partnership: Give US finance leaders clear reporting, variance explanations, and early warning on accounting risks.





What We’re Looking For

- Strong accounting ownership: 8+ years of accounting experience, including leading the accounting function or the full close for a company or business unit.
- Hands-on US GAAP expertise: Practical experience applying US GAAP, or strong NIIF (IFRS) experience, ideally while supporting US-based businesses, whether in-house, at a multinational, or through an audit or outsourced accounting firm.
- Technical depth: Strong understanding of financial statements, complex reconciliations, accruals, and internal controls.
- Team leadership: Experience managing accountants and reviewing their work.
- Good English communication: Confidence working directly with US finance teams and senior stakeholders.

Good to Have

- Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, SAP, or similar accounting ERPs.
- Multi-entity, intercompany, or consolidation experience.
- Contador Público Colegiado (CPC), US CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience working with US startups, growing businesses, or international teams.
