We are hiring a senior full-stack engineer with 5+ years of experience to join a two-engineer team working directly with our CTO. You will own features end to end, from schema to UI, on data-heavy, map-driven web and mobile software.

We build with AI-assisted tooling (Claude Code), so we value engineers who design carefully, review rigorously and ship quickly.

What you'll do

● Design and evolve relational and geospatial data models, including audit history and provenance.

● Build reliable third-party API integrations: webhooks, idempotent processing, retries,

replay and reconciliation.

● Implement role- and scope-based permissions with audited administrative actions.

● Build data-heavy, map-driven web features in React.

● Build and harden mobile apps with offline capture and conflict-safe sync.

● Write data migration tooling with dry runs and reconciliation reports.

● Own quality: automated tests, code review (including AI-generated code), observability and clear documentation.

● Work with client stakeholders to turn business workflows into phased, shippable scope.

Required

● 5+ years of professional software engineering, including at least 3 years building production web applications end to end.

● Strong TypeScript and Node.js, with experience building REST APIs on Fastify, Express,

NestJS or similar.

● Deep PostgreSQL experience: schema design, indexing, query tuning, migrations,

transactions and row-level security.





● Hands-on PostGIS or other geospatial work: geocoding, spatial queries, polygons and map rendering.

● Production React experience, including data-heavy screens, forms and state management (e.g. TanStack Query).

● A track record of building third-party API integrations that hold up under real traffic:

webhooks, OAuth or API keys, rate limits, idempotency, retries and reconciliation.

● Experience with background jobs and queues, and with designing systems that handle out-of-order or duplicate events.

● Experience designing role-based permissions and audit logging for multi-user business software.

● Cloud deployment experience on GCP or AWS (containers, managed Postgres, secrets),

with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

● Disciplined testing habits: unit, integration and end-to-end tests for business-critical rules.

● Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor or similar), plus the judgment to review,

test and correct what they produce.

● Clear written English and comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

● React Native / Expo, especially offline-first apps using SQLite and a sync protocol.

● MapLibre GL or Mapbox, and vector tiles (ST_AsMVT).

● CRM, sales or field-service software, or migrating data between SaaS platforms.

● Telephony, messaging or advertising-platform API integrations.

● Knowledge of communications compliance: TCPA, do-not-call lists, opt-out and consent records.

● Entity resolution or record-linkage techniques: fuzzy matching, survivorship rules.

● Drizzle ORM, Zod, pg-boss, Terraform, Sentry, and analytics exports to BigQuery.

● Consulting or agency experience shipping software for a client with phased milestones.
