The Mission: Turn Signed Deals Into Working Data Foundations

Hilbert has two parts: a data foundation that gives our AI agents a high-fidelity view of each business, and an agentic web app where growth teams find and act on insights. For enterprise customers, the data foundation runs either on our managed ClickHouse stack or warehouse-native inside the customer's own Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery.

The hard problem

Every enterprise customer is different, but our AI must reason the same way wherever the data lives. Your team turns messy, unique customer data into a consistent data foundation and ML, fast, and you decide how each delivery gets done. We want every pod to stay lean and efficient across very different customer environments, delivering quality work at startup speed.

What You'll Do

- Lead and grow a small team of data and ML engineers who will be delivering the data foundation.
- Review solution designs and proof-of-concept scopes before they reach customers, and decide what can be delivered and how.
- Own each delivery after signature: staff it with the right engineers, and own its plan, timeline and quality.
- Stay hands-on in architecture, data discovery, canonical modeling, semantic layers,



ETL and ELT orchestration across customer and Hilbert environments, secure cloud integration, and reviews of feature and model work.
- Help build our Data Discovery Agent, which will analyze customer data, suggest mappings and scaffold first pipelines, and bring it into your team's work as it matures.
- Be the main technical contact for our customers' engineering teams.
- Work with product engineering to turn repeated delivery work into product, and bring new industries and stacks to them early.
- Help our sales engineers learn the delivery side and engineering capabilities.

Who You Are

- The player-coach: you lead engineers and still design, write and review the hard parts yourself.
- The translator: you earn a customer data architect's trust quickly and turn the logic of their systems into something our reasoning engine understands.
- The pilot: you're excited to help build AI agents that take on the heavy lifting of discovery and pipeline scaffolding.
- The systems thinker: you see delivery as a system, not a series of projects. You design the processes, standards, reusable patterns and automation that let a small team handle very different environments without slowing down or cutting corners.
- Extensive field experience in data engineering, data architecture or ML engineering,



ideally from engineering consultancy or B2B delivery of data and ML projects, including leading engineers on customer projects.
- Hands-on delivery on Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery, and comfort with modern stacks such as Dagster, Airbyte, ClickHouse and Cube.
- Working knowledge of cloud security and system integration on AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience working in a distributed team across time zones.
- Fluent Spanish, for working with customers across the region.

- Industry experience such as e-commerce, retail, fintech, telco and media
- Regulated industry consultancy experience
- Able to travel to the US when necessary

Reporting and location

You report to our Senior Leader for Forward Deployed Engineering. The role is based in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, or Peru with occasional visits to our largest customers in the North and South America.
