Role Description This full-time remote Spanish Medical Interpreter role focuses on providing accurate, clear, and confidential interpretation between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare professionals in virtual settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting medical information during calls or video sessions, ensuring that patients understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and instructions, and conveying patient questions and concerns accurately to clinical staff. The interpreter will apply precise medical terminology, maintain professional boundaries, and adhere to ethical standards and privacy regulations.



Additional tasks include performing sight translation of medical documents when needed, documenting sessions according to guidelines, and collaborating with supervisors and teammates to improve service quality and patient experience.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Medical Interpretation and Interpreting in Spanish and English.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to clinical, hospital, and outpatient settings.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Simultaneous Interpretation and consecutive interpretation techniques.
- Candidates should possess Translation abilities for short medical documents, patient instructions, and consent forms.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (advanced or native-level in both languages).
- Previous experience as a medical or healthcare interpreter, preferably in remote or call center environments.
- Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm in urgent or sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with patient confidentiality standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA or equivalent privacy laws).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet and professional workspace, and comfort using call center and video conferencing tools.
- Relevant certification in medical interpreting or equivalent training is highly beneficial.
