Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer (2/E) on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in Asia. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping the vessel’s machinery safe, efficient, and ready for operation at all times.

- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries, boilers, and related systems
- Supervise engine ratings and ensure safe working practices
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs as per PMS and company procedures
- Ensure proper operation of bunkering, fuel treatment, and lube oil systems
- Keep engine room logs, records, and reports up to company and class standards
- Support safe cargo operations, including cargo heating and relevant pumping systems

- Requirements:

- Valid STCW III/2 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency for Motor vessels
- Experience as 2/E on Oil/Chemical Tankers or strong 3/E background on similar vessels
- Valid tanker endorsements (Oil/Chemical) and STCW safety certificates
- Good knowledge of engine room systems, PMS, and safety procedures
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and acceptable English communication skills
