About The Role

Design, build and evolve the QA team's automation and AI-assisted testing capabilities across web and mobile products, turning repetitive testing work into reliable, scalable and data-driven processes. Own the E2E, mobile and API automation frameworks end to end, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and bring AI tools and agents into the QA workflow (test design, execution, triage and reporting). Partner with developers and PMs to make quality faster to validate and easier to measure, communicate fluently in English, and enable the rest of the QA team to adopt automation and AI in their daily work.

As a Principal QA Automation & AI Engineer at iVisa, you will make an impact by:

- Owning and scaling our Playwright (web) and Appium (mobile) automation frameworks: architecture, stability, coverage and maintainability.
- Building and maintaining REST API test automation to validate integrations and catch defects earlier.
- Integrating and running automated suites in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to deliver fast, reliable feedback on every change.
- Designing and implementing AI-assisted workflows for test case generation, failure triage, flaky-test detection and run analysis.
- Building agents and integrations (LLM APIs, MCP, Slack, ClickUp) that reduce manual QA effort and turn automation results into clear quality signals for release decisions.
- Enabling the QA team through documentation, pairing and training so they can contribute to and benefit from automation and AI.

What makes you a great fit for this role:

- 5+ years of experience in software QA or development, with at least 3 years building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Experience automating mobile tests with Appium.
- Experience integrating and running tests in CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.
- Solid experience testing and automating REST APIs.
- Practical experience applying LLMs and AI tools to QA workflows (AI coding assistants, LLM APIs, agents), with examples of measurable impact.
- Fluent English and the ability to work autonomously, explain technical trade-offs clearly and teach others.
- Nice to have: TypeScript, MCP / workflow automation tools, Slack or ClickUp integrations, ISTQB certification.
