Position Summary:
Raqmiyat is actively seeking an experienced, high-caliber, and technical AI Engineer with 6+ years of specialized AI/ML engineering experience—including 3+ years building and operating production Large Language Model (LLM) systems—to join our advanced technology team on a full-time permanent on-site basis in the UAE. In this critical artificial intelligence role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining enterprise-grade generative AI applications, production LLM architectures, and advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. You will leverage your deep specialist expertise in open-source LLM deployment on GPU infrastructure, serving frameworks, model parallelism, and rigorous retrieval evaluation to deliver uncompromised system accuracy, high throughput, and operational excellence. This opportunity offers competitive compensation, executive technical visibility, and exceptional career growth prospects within a premier regional digital transformation and IT services enterprise.
Detailed :
As an AI Engineer supporting Raqmiyat in the UAE, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of generative AI system architecture, production LLM deployments, and end-to-end RAG quality optimization. Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and deploying open-source LLMs on specialized GPU infrastructure, configuring high-performance serving frameworks, implementing tensor and pipeline parallelism strategies, building and scaling robust RAG retrieval pipelines backed by measurable evaluation metrics, migrating AI projects from proof-of-concept (POC) to robust production environments, troubleshooting model latency and memory bottlenecks, and collaborating closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and enterprise product squads.
You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve complex artificial intelligence anomalies under strict enterprise delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, develop, and scale production-grade generative AI applications and Large Language Model (LLM) systems.
- Deploy and manage open-source LLMs on advanced GPU infrastructure with deep understanding of hardware and serving frameworks.
- Implement model parallelism strategies, tensor parallelism, and pipeline optimization for high-throughput inference.
- Own, measure, and continuously improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) quality using rigorous retrieval metrics and evaluation frameworks.
- Transition complex artificial intelligence projects and proof-of-concept demos into scalable, robust real-world production systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve model latency, GPU memory utilization, token generation bottlenecks, and integration failures.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional AI research squads, data engineers, software architects, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of model architectures, evaluation benchmarks, API integrations, and deployment runbooks.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive professional experience in AI/ML engineering and advanced software development.
- Mandatory minimum of 3+ years of hands‑on professional experience building, deploying, and operating production LLM systems.
- Proven practical expertise deploying open-source LLMs on GPU infrastructure with mastery of serving frameworks and parallelism.
- Demonstrated ownership of RAG quality, vector databases, embedding models, and measurable retrieval evaluation metrics.
- Solid practical proficiency in Python programming, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), and ML ops tooling.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving capabilities under complex AI engineering conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong technical leadership and collaboration abilities.
- Mandatory legal work eligibility and physical availability for full‑time on‑site operations in the UAE.
Nice‑to‑Have‑Skills:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a specialized computational field.
- Hands‑on familiarity with advanced LLM fine‑tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA, DPO) and prompt engineering optimization.
- Experience with vector search engines (Pinecone, Milvus, Qdrant, FAISS) and enterprise orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Prior professional working experience in top‑tier technology consulting firms or enterprise AI product companies.
