Description
Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently operate a 100-ton mobile crane for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment, machinery, materials, and structural components, ensuring all lifting activities are carried out in accordance with approved lifting procedures and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a 100-ton mobile crane to perform lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning activities as instructed.
Inspect the crane before operation and complete daily pre-start checks.
Verify the crane's operational condition, safety devices, lifting accessories, and required documentation before commencing work.
Review load weights, lifting radius, boom configuration, ground conditions, and the crane's load chart before each lift.
Ensure lifting operations are conducted within the crane's rated capacity and approved lifting plan.
Coordinate with lifting supervisors, and other site personnel using established hand signals or radio communication.
Position and set up the crane safely, including the correct deployment of outriggers and suitable mats where required.
Follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work requirements, and site safety procedures.




Stop lifting operations immediately if unsafe conditions, equipment defects, adverse weather, or unclear instructions arise.
Report equipment faults, incidents, near misses, and maintenance requirements promptly.
Maintain crane logbooks, inspection records, and other operational documentation as required.
Keep the crane clean and ensure proper care of company equipment.
Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Valid UAE heavy equipment/crane operator licence, certification, or competency approval appropriate to the crane and work scope.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating mobile cranes, preferably including cranes with a capacity of 100 tons or more.
Demonstrated knowledge of crane load charts, lifting capacities, rigging and lifting safety, crane stability, and safe operating procedures.
Knowledge of UAE site safety requirements and relevant lifting regulations.
Ability to conduct pre-start inspections and identify equipment defects.
Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with lifting teams.
Strong safety awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to work responsibly under pressure.
Willingness to work at industrial, mining, quarry, and construction sites as required.
Safe crane operation and load handling.
Understanding of load charts and lifting plans.
Hazard identification and risk assessment.
Coordination with foremen and team.




Equipment inspection and care.
Attention to detail and safety compliance.
Working Conditions
Work may involve outdoor environments, industrial facilities, quarry locations, and construction sites.
The role may require shift work, overtime, and work at different project locations as per company requirements and applicable UAE labour regulations.
