DevOps Engineer

About The Job

We have successfully completed the modernisation phase of one of our key defence projects and are now starting new work packages under a new contract.
To support this next phase, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer based in Ankara or willing to relocate to Ankara. You will take ownership of core IT system infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, backup) as well as the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of our DevOps environment, contributing directly to the reliable delivery of large-scale defence software solutions.

This role is an adecuado fit if you possess a strong background in system administration, 2nd/3rd level infrastructure support, and high-availability operations, combined with hands‑on experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, software packaging,



and release automation in security‑sensitive environments.

What You’ll Do

- Take responsibility for core IT systems (server, storage, backup, virtualization, firewall, VPN etc.) using a multiskilled, end-to-end approach.
- Design, install, configure, test, maintain, and perform regular system updates on IT systems and management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest level of service availability, redundancy, and capacity management in a 24/7 production environment.
- Provide advanced technical support and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for complex production, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
- Maintain system standards, operational/configurational procedures, network topologies, system inventories, and service specification documents.
- Develop and maintain security, backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.
- Liaise with vendors, system administrators, and cross‑functional teams for problem resolution, communicating technical and non‑technical information effectively across support groups and stakeholders.
- Identify manual or repetitive tasks and implement script‑based automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) across on‑premises and restricted cloud environments.

What We’re Looking For

- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in System Engineering, System Administration, DevOps,



Build & Release Engineering, or a hybrid technical role.
- Proven hands‑on experience in server management, storage, backup solutions, virtualization, and infrastructure operations.
- Strong ability to provide 2nd/3rd level support, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve technical issues across development, build, test, and production environments.
- Experience in software build, packaging, installation, and deployment activities.
- Managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewall and VPN infrastructures to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted network connectivity across the organization.
- Providing technical support to ensure operational continuity through the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues across system and application layers, including Web Services, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), and related business applications.
- Disciplined approach to operational documentation and strong communication skills with a fluent command of written and spoken English.
- Residence in Ankara or willingness to relocate to Ankara.

Nice to Have

- Manage and maintain Azure Boards, including work items, backlogs, queries, custom dashboards, and team workflows.
- Build, operate, monitor, continuously improve, and troubleshoot automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Support automated build, test, and deployment processes. Prepare and manage software installation packages (MSI, Advanced Installer) and release artifacts.
- Manage source code, branching strategies, dependencies, and package feeds/artifact repositories (npm, NuGet, Azure Artifacts, Nexus, or Artifactory).
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other container
