Software Backend Developer with a Passion for AI (m/f/d) - Location: Linz

As a software developer with solid expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and Python backend development, you will help us advance our innovative AI products and shape the future of technology.

In this role, you will develop modern, scalable software solutions that seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into real-world systems. As part of a general market leader in the semiconductor industry, you will contribute to pioneering technologies that define the next generation of AI applications.

In addition to our office at Tech Harbor in Linz, our headquarters in St. Florian am Inn (near Schärding) is also available as your primary workplace, depending on which location suits you best. To ensure a smooth start with both the team and your new responsibilities, the onboarding and initial training will take place primarily at our headquarters in St.

Florian am Inn.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Architecture and development of Python-based backends for AI applications, including API design, database integration, and software development
- Creation of robust OOP-based solutions for existing systems and new requirements
- Building and managing asynchronous API backends using modern toolsets (e.g., FastAPI, REST APIs, Web Sockets)
- Design and implementation of ETL processes to connect machine learning and LLM components
- Optimization and management of multi-threaded processes to enhance performance during intensive backend computations
- Ensuring performance and stability through testing, debugging,



and performance tuning
- Close collaboration with AI researchers and engineers to integrate solutions into our AI services

Requirements:

- A degree or training in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or a related field
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), especially with Python; familiarity with C++, SQL, FastAPI, and REST APIs is advantageous
- Experience in developing Python backends for AI applications, including API development, database architecture, and software design
- Expertise in building data flows and API structures, handling asynchronous tasks, message queues, and idempotent data processing
- Initial experience in developing ETL pipelines to connect LLMs, ML models, and databases
- Knowledge of multi-threading programming for optimal GPU utilization
- Ability to perform automated testing (e.g., with unit testing modules), profiling, and performance optimization
- Experience with modern development environments such as Linux, Docker, Git, and Dev Ops processes
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English

For this position, we offer an annual gross salary of at least 48.300 EUR. Depending on qualifications and experience, we can also offer more!
