My client is looking to hire an Accountant based in Austria with experience using Net Suite to take ownership of the accounting for its Austrian entity. The company is implementing Net Suite across its accounting operations and is transitioning from an outsourced accounting model to an in-house finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional to play a key role in the implementation and ongoing use of Net Suite while helping to establish efficient, reliable accounting processes locally. You will gradually take over day-to-day bookkeeping activities from an external accounting provider, becoming the main point of contact for the Austrian entity’s accounting operations.

Working closely with the wider international finance team, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with Austrian GAAP, and support the continued development of the company’s accounting processes. The external accounting provider will remain involved in tax advisory and specialist matters, allowing you to focus on the internal accounting function and the successful transition to Net Suite.

Your Responsibilities

- Take ownership of the day-to-day accounting activities for the Austrian legal entity.
- Support the local implementation, configuration, and ongoing use of Net Suite.
- Gradually transition bookkeeping activities from the external accounting provider to the in-house finance function.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely and reliable P&L; reporting.




- Ensure compliance with Austrian GAAP and applicable local statutory accounting requirements.
- Monitor and improve accounting processes to support efficient financial operations.
- Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisers on tax-related matters and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with the international finance team to ensure consistency across accounting processes.
- Support the reconciliation and validation of financial data during the transition to Net Suite.
- Act as the key point of contact for the Austrian entity’s accounting activities.

Desired Qualifications

- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Austrian GAAP and local statutory accounting requirements.
- Practical experience using Net Suite is highly desirable.
- Experience with ERP implementations, system rollouts, or accounting process improvements would be an advantage.
- Experience managing the accounting activities of a legal entity independently.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of accounting processes.
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with international finance teams and external advisers.
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.

Salary: €55,000–€65,000 gross per annum. My client may be open to slightly higher salary expectations depending on the candidate’s experience.
