The Role
Your role
Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world/'s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You/'ll be in good company among our general community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.
In this role, you/'ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe.
At the same time you/'ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe/'s core data.
What you will do
- Maintain Performance
- Prevent decay and find efficiencies: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance.
- Debug and Test
- Find and fix: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission-critical applications running.
- Develop for the Future
- Bridge the gap: As an instrumental player in modernization, you/'ll extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
Who You Are
Required skills and experience
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Excellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Springboot, Quarkus, GraphQL, Kafka, SpringBatch, ApacheFlink) with debugging and problem‑solving skills.
