? Job Description
Are you passionate about helping patients and delivering outstanding customer service? We are looking for a Healthcare Customer Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients in U.S. medical practices.
In this role, you will answer and place calls, schedule and confirm appointments, verify insurance information, update patient records, and ensure every patient receives a professional, compassionate, and efficient experience. The idóneo candidate has previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment, excellent English communication skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy and patient satisfaction.

? Requirements
Experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Representative, Medical Scheduler, Medical Receptionist, or similar healthcare support role.
• Experience working with U.S. healthcare providers, medical offices, clinics, or healthcare BPOs.




• Strong preference for candidates whose primary recent experience has been in patient scheduling and healthcare customer service.
• Stable work history with demonstrated reliability and commitment.

Healthcare Knowledge
• Understanding of U.S. healthcare terminology and patient scheduling processes.
• Knowledge of referrals, prior authorizations, insurance verification, copays, deductibles, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to accurately identify appointment types, specialties, and patient needs.

Systems & Technology
• Experience using EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or similar platforms.
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems while speaking with patients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and call center platforms.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM with strong accuracy.
