About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer or Associate tojoin our highly successful Insurance Division on a full-time basis.Based in Melbourne, the successful candidate will enjoy working oninteresting and high value matters for premium insurer clients in ateam that is recognised within the industry for delivering highquality advice and outstanding service to clients across a diverserange of insurance lines, including:
- Public liability - personal injury, property damage and product liability;
- Professional Indemnity and D&O; and
- Management Liability.
The key purpose in this role will beto act in coverage and defence roles in general insurance claimsfor a wide network of clients. You will be required to have ademonstrated and sound knowledge of the industry, with the abilityto run matters through to completion. In the role you will have theopportunity to lead and mentor paralegals, graduates and juniorlawyers.

About you
To be considered for this role you will have the following:
- A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current Victoriapractising certificate;
- 1-3 years' post admission experience in general insurancematters, including casualty and/or financial lines claims;
- Confidence to deal directly with clients;
- Ability to communicate effectively with experts in multiplefields;
- High degree of initiative, dedication and organisationability with a strong client and commercial focus;
- Ability to manage a busy workload and work to tightdeadlines;
- A commercial approach and ability to articulate andnegotiate effectively; and
