Responsible for planning, managing and executing seasonal procurement and supply chain operations for the Wealmoor Peru regional hub. The Operations Manager translates procurement plans into effective operational processes and coordinates closely with growers, exporters, quality teams, logistics providers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and the UK team. The role leads corrective actions and ensures the regional hub provides reliable, timely information and insights that enhance value delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage the day-to-day execution of procurement plans across assigned fresh produce categories and origins.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with approved growers, producers and exporters, ensuring commitments meet agreed volumes, specifications, prices and delivery schedules.
- Track product availability, forecasts and expected supply on a daily and weekly basis, identifying shortages, surpluses and quality risks and implementing timely solutions.Communicate any challenges or variances to plan in a timely fashion with responsible regional buyers and head of procurement
- Adapt procurement plans in response to changes in customer demand, availability, quality and logistics constraints.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers and exporters to ensure alignment on operational requirements.
- Manage the Supply Chain Administrator and Quality Control Inspector, ensuring air and sea shipments are executed according to plan.
- Monitor shipment schedules, booking confirmations, cut-off times and documentation,



ensuring shipment plans align with customer requirements and product availability.
- Resolve operational issues with exporters, freight forwarders, airlines, shipping lines and other logistics partners.
- Act as the operational coordination point between Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics and Commercial teams.
- Work with the Quality Control Inspector to ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented throughout procurement and shipment activities.
- Support short- and medium-term supply planning and communicate risks relating to availability, weather, quality, production, logistics, capacity and documentation.
- Support the Regional Manager in delivering strategic commercial, procurement and supply chain initiatives.
- Contribute to supplier negotiations and support new product and origin development projects.
- Assist with implementing systems, processes and reporting tools, and promote process standardisation across products and origins.
- Support the timely preparation of management reports and business reviews including periodic and end of season supplier reviews
- Contribute to supplier and product development work plans.

WORK EXPERIENCE

- Strong understanding of fresh produce supply chains.
- Proven ability to manage multiple products, suppliers and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

LANGUAGES

- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Additional spoken languages would be beneficial.
