Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to support structural analysis, design, and construction documentation across a variety of building projects. The adecuado candidate combines strong technical skills with practical construction knowledge and enjoys collaborating with engineers, designers, and project teams.

This role will focus on cold-formed steel framing, foundations, connections, and complete structural load paths, with opportunities to support panelized and manufactured building systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design for residential and commercial buildings, with an emphasis on light gauge and cold-formed steel.
- Prepare engineering calculations, structural drawings, design details, and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate gravity and lateral loads, including wind and seismic forces, according to applicable project requirements.
- Design framing systems, foundations, connections, anchorage, and lateral force-resisting systems.
- Coordinate structural designs with architectural plans, MEP systems, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support the development of panelized building systems and factory-built components.
- Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, and help resolve construction issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve constructability, reduce material costs,



and streamline installation while maintaining structural performance.
- Maintain accurate project records and communicate design progress, challenges, and deadlines.
- Participate in technical reviews and quality control to help deliver complete, coordinated engineering packages.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Three or more years of structural engineering experience involving building analysis and design.
- Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and structural design standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, and applicable AISI standards.
- Experience preparing structural calculations and construction documents.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable drafting and modeling tools.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience designing cold-formed steel or light gauge steel structures.
- Familiarity with FrameCAD, Scottsdale, or Arkitech systems.
- Experience with panelized, modular, or other manufactured building systems.
- Experience with coastal construction, high-wind design, and hurricane-resistant structures.
- Experience with concrete foundations and steel connection design.
