About the role:
As a Youth Worker, you’llplay a vital role in creating a safe, stable, and nurturingenvironment for at-risk youth with complex support needs. In thishands-on role, you will assist young people in their daily livesoffering support with life skills.

The key responsibilities:

- Assist with routines like meals, hygiene, cleaning,homework, and personal development activities within astructured, home-like environment.
- Act as a trusted adult and role model, encouragingparticipation in recreational, cultural, and life skillsactivities.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and care plansdesigned in consultation with the Therapeutic Support Team.
- Observe and document changes in wellbeing or behaviour, andescalate concerns to the Program Coordinator or on-call staffas needed.
- Work closely with other Youth Workers, senior staff, andexternal services to ensure consistent and quality care in a24/7 rostered environment.

This role requires availability Monday to Sunday includingovernight shifts and public holidays.

About you:
To be successful in this positionyou should have demonstrated experience working with young peoplewith complex trauma and at-risk behaviours. Have a strongunderstanding of child protection,



youth welfare systems, andtrauma-informed practice. Have a compassionate and calm approach tobehaviour management and life skills development.

Additionally:

- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention(Residential Care) or equivalent and experience in working with‘at risk’ youth
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Child Safety and Personal History Screening outcome
- A valid Driver’s Licence and First Aid Certificate
- Previous experience in trauma informed practice is highlyregarded
- Sound knowledge of services to youth, child and familywelfare, and child protection processes
