Job Description:

The Project Officer is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day planning and implementation of the project at the community level. Serving as the primary community mobilizer, the Project Officer supports project activities and provides technical assistance to community groups and local partners involved in project implementation.

About Project:

As part of its emergency response mandate, Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) is implementing the Flores Earthquake Emergency Response (FOSTER) project to support children, families, and communities affected by the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT),



on 15 August 2026. The earthquake caused significant impacts across multiple regencies, including damage to homes, schools, health facilities, water systems, and community infrastructure, resulting in displacement and increased humanitarian needs among affected populations.

The FOSTER project is a multi-sector emergency response and early recovery intervention implemented across affected areas in Flores. The project focuses on addressing immediate humanitarian needs while supporting community recovery and resilience. Priority interventions include Child Protection and Psychosocial Support (CP/PSS), Education in Emergencies, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition and Health, Shelter assistance, Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), and livelihood recovery support.
