Meet Slingshot
At Slingshot Aerospace, we're on a mission to make space safer and more secure for everyone. Our work directly impacts general security, disaster response, climate monitoring, and the critical infrastructure that connects our world. We're a team of builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers who believe that the next generation of space operations will be powered by better data and smarter software.
We move fast, we're not afraid to fail, and we believe the best ideas can come from anywhere—whether you're in engineering, sales, product, or operations. If you want to work on something that truly matters, with people who care deeply about the impact we're making and help shape the future of an industry that's just getting started, you're in the right place.
What You’ll Be Launching
As a Space Surveillance Systems Technician, you will help keep Slingshot’s Global Sensor Network (GSN) operating reliably around the world.
The majority of your time will be spent remotely monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting fielded sensor systems during your assigned business hours.

You’ll need to understand how the systems operate conceptually and physically so you can translate what you are seeing remotely on a screen into what is likely happening with hardware in the field. You’ll investigate issues, document findings and actions taken, coordinate with teammates and engineering as needed, and provide a clear handoff to the team supporting the next timezone to maintain continuous global operations.
You will also support the installation, maintenance, and repair of GSN systems in the field. Initially, this will include working alongside experienced team members on global deployments and maintenance activities as you build system knowledge and hands‑on experience. Once fully competent, you may independently support installations and maintenance activities across Australia and New Zealand.
Travel is expected to represent approximately 25% of the role at the high end, altho
