**Position to work hybrid in Lima, Peru.
Important: CV must be attached in English.** The Internal Audit Manager – LatAm/Peru will lead internal audit assurance and advisory activities for Paysafe's Peru Electronic Money Issuing (EEDE) business, ensuring the internal audit capability meets the requirements of the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP (SBS). The role also supports the expansion of internal audit across the LatAm region and leads or performs engagements on other Paysafe products and activities.
It reports to the Director Internal Audit, Americas, and to the local Peru Board of Directors for local internal audit responsibilities. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports; you'll supervise internal and co-source auditors on specific engagements.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead audit reviews and supervise internal and co-source team members, providing feedback and support.
- Own the quality of audit deliverables (audit files and reports) in line with Group Internal Audit methodology and quality standards.
- Write clear,
impactful reports communicating observations, risks, recommendations and agreed management actions.
- Review and confirm the closure of audit issues based on evidence and discussions with management.
- Develop and maintain the local audit universe, risk assessment and risk-based audit plan for the Peru EEDE entity, covering mandatory and risk-based topics, and contribute to the group-level audit universe and risk assessment.
- Support the delivery of audit engagements for the Peruvian entity with the right scope and coverage to meet local technical requirements, including Spanish-language support.
- Engage with local regulators in recurring meetings, inspections and ad-hoc requests, and keep Internal Audit up to date on local regulatory expectations.
- Prepare internal audit reporting for the regulated entity's Board and represent Internal Audit at Peru Board meetings.
- Work with Peru business management and the local Board, as well as business leaders across the Paysafe group, and present audit status updates to senior management.
- Contribute to the development and transformation of the internal audit function.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Industry-recognized audit and/or accounting certification (e.g. CIA, CPA, CISA).
- 5+ years of internal audit experience in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of SBS and Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP)
regulations related to internal audit.
- Prior experience handling audit requests from regulators.
- Solid working knowledge of the IIA professional standards and how to apply them when planning and running engagements.
- Ability to assess fraud risk and IT-related risks as part of audit engagements.
- Good knowledge of local financial services products (e.g. Yape).
- Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Internal audit experience in financial or payment institutions is a plus.
- Knowledge of control frameworks such as SOX, COSO or COBIT is a plus.
- Big 4 background is a plus.
