We are working with an established international metals trading business looking to appoint a Senior Concentrates Operator to join its team in Peru.

This is a key operational role supporting the physical concentrates trading business, with responsibility for managing shipments from contract execution through to final settlement.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the end to end execution of physical concentrates transactions across domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities will include

- Manage physical shipments of copper, zinc, lead and other metal concentrates
- Coordinate closely with traders, suppliers, customers, ports, warehouses, inspection companies and logistics providers
- Manage vessel, container, truck and warehouse movements
- Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading, certificates, invoices and contractual documentation
- Monitor contractual terms, shipment schedules, laycans and delivery obligations
- Coordinate sampling, weighing, assaying and inspection processes
- Manage provisional and final pricing, settlements and relevant documentation
- Work with laboratories and counterparties to resolve assay and quality differences
- Monitor treatment charges, refining charges, penalties, payables and other commercial terms




- Liaise closely with trade finance, credit, risk and accounting teams
- Identify operational risks and resolve issues before they impact commercial performance
- Maintain strong relationships across local producers, mining companies, ports, warehouses and logistics providers The Profile

We are looking for an experienced concentrates operator with:

- Strong experience in physical metals or concentrates operations
- Detailed knowledge of copper, zinc, lead or polymetallic concentrates
- Experience managing international shipments and complex logistics
- Strong understanding of concentrate contracts, assays, penalties and settlement calculations
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade documentation
- Experience working with mining companies, traders, smelters, laboratories and inspection companies
- Strong knowledge of Peruvian mining and export logistics
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Strong communication skills in Spanish and English
