Role Description The CFD Trader role at 522 Capital is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lima, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. In this role, the trader will execute and monitor CFD trades across various asset classes, manage positions, and ensure adherence to risk and compliance rules. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market data, developing and refining trading strategies, monitoring news and macroeconomic events, and adjusting positions to align with risk parameters. The trader will collaborate with the broader investments and finance team to share insights, optimize hedging approaches, and contribute to performance reporting.



The role also involves maintaining accurate trading records, using trading platforms and analytical tools, and participating in regular reviews to improve strategy effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Strong trading skills, with experience in CFDs and active position management.
- Analytical skills to interpret market data, evaluate risk, and support strategy development.
- Knowledge of investments and finance, including financial instruments, market structure, and portfolio concepts.
- Understanding of hedging techniques and risk management practices relevant to leveraged products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency with trading platforms, market data tools, and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel); coding skills (such as Python or R) are an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with strong self-discipline, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience in proprietary trading, brokerage, or asset management is preferred but not required.
