Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain business rules using Drools / Drools Rule Engine.

2. Translate HR policies and functional requirements into configurable business rules and decisionlogic.

3. Develop decision tables, rule sets, validations, calculations, and rule execution flows.

4. Integrate Drools with backend services and other HR platform components.

5. Analyze rule dependencies, conflicts, priorities, and execution performance.

6. Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of business rules.

7. Maintain rule documentation, versioning, and traceability to business requirements.

8. Collaborate with BA, Backend Developers, Architects, and QA during implementation.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,



orequivalent experience.

2. Min 2 years of software development experience, preferably with business rule engines.

3. Hands-on experience with Drools, DRL, Decision Tables, or DMN.

4. Strong understanding of business rule management and decision logic.

5. Experience integrating rule engines with REST APIs/backend applications.

6. Good Java knowledge is highly preferable due to the Drools ecosystem.

7. Familiar with Git, testing, debugging, and Agile/JIRA practices.

8. Strong analytical skills, especially in translating complex business policies into system rules.
