We are looking for a highly motivated Test Station Technician to join our team in Piura, Peru. In this role, you will support operational activities across our research and seed production programs, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. You will play a key role in sunflower, sorghum, and maize breeding and seed production activities while contributing to the success of our research initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting operational activities to achieve established objectives while maintaining strict quality and efficiency standards.
- Monitoring crop vegetative development and issuing timely alerts to facilitate corrective actions when needed.
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of field maps using Field Explorer.
- Managing the physical inventory of materials used in sunflower and sorghum hybridization and harvesting processes.
- Ensuring proper labeling of maize increase programs and sunflower and sorghum programs before, during, and after hybridization activities.
- Supporting hybridization activities for maize, sunflower, and sorghum increase programs.
- Preparing the annual harvest plan, taking into account irrigation schedules, moisture measurements, and operational requirements.
- Proposing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, objectives, and work methods.
- Participating in the development of new processes and work techniques, as well as drafting operational guidelines and manuals.
- Collaborating actively with different teams and providing support for other activities assigned by management.
- Complying with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the company's internal policies.
