1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lazy Dog Inn (LDI) is an active resident and sponsor of social and environmentally responsible community development in the Cachipampa-Rivas area above Huaraz. In addition to providing high quality visitor experiences (accommodations, meals, information and logistical support) it is also a small working farm with food production and animal care operations. As such the duties of the Senior Manager extend beyond that of just business administration (handling enquiries, reservations and payments, directing staff and guest services etc) to include the following:
1) involvement with Yurac Yacu Community Association, particularly the small business programs operating at the Yurac Yacu Community Center,
2) attendance at local community meetings and work days,
3) supervision and support of food production, animal care and farming activities
While business and guest services must always be assigned first priority the Senior Manager must be constantly able to respond to and meet the needs of these other activities on an ongoing basis. Fluency in both spanish and english is essential.
1.1 Lazy Dog Inn Responsibilities
A 2-month orientation period working with the LDI owners is needed for the Senior Manager to become reasonably comfortable with the following primary job duties:
a) Handling enquiries from potential guests (phone, Whatsapp and email enquiries) and recording guest reservations.
b) Daily coordination and supervision of LDI staff work schedules and duties (female staff re: food re-supplies, meal preparations, room cleaning etc and male staff re: general maintenance, food production and farm work priorities etc)
c) Providing guest services including: receiving and orienting new guests, providing information and options for local hikes and activities, organizing taxis and transport requirements etc.
d) Accounting and Administration duties: receiving and recording guest payments, recording guest details,
