The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for one
(1) AI & Full-Stack Development Intern to provide support to Digital &
Data Department in Lima, Peru.

Training
activities:

• Contribute to building features of a native Windows desktop client
written in Rust (GPUI): panels, editing surfaces, streaming views, settings,
and diagnostics.

• Support the implementation of document handling and format
fidelity: .docx, Markdown, and LaTeX,



citations and bibliography, typesetting
pipelines, and faithful round-trips between formats.

• Contribute to extending a Python 3.12 multi-agent backend built
on LangGraph and LangChain and the surfaces through which researchers invoke it
and receive its results.

• Support the completion of the move to a self-contained
Windows installation, so the application installs and runs like any other
Windows program.

• Contribute to applied LLM engineering activities, including
prompt and model routing, retrieval-augmented generation over researchers' PDF
libraries, guardrails, and evaluation of agent output.

• Support the extension and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines on
GitHub Actions and the automated test suites.

• ​Document the work and collaborate with research teams
across CGIAR.

Requirements
What are we looking for?

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from
Computer Science, Software Engineering
