Organizational context:

The Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) in Peru, through its Directorate General of Industrial Environmental Affairs (DGAAMI), is responsible for implementing the Montreal Protocol. This role supports Component 2.1 of the HCFC Phase II Project, focusing on public awareness and institutional events to promote the use of alternative refrigerants and protect the ozone layer.

Job purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the organization, coordination, and execution of institutional events aimed at raising public awareness and promoting the use of new technologies and alternative refrigerants within the refrigeration and air conditioning sector. This initiative is part of the HCFC Phase II Project in Peru, executed in collaboration with the Ministry of Production and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The role contributes to Peru's commitment to phasing out HCFCs and protecting the ozone layer by facilitating knowledge dissemination and engagement with key stakeholders in the sector.

Responsibilities:





The Training and Events Associate will be responsible for planning and organizing at least six training events, including scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and participant outreach. This involves identifying, validating, and engaging key actors such as companies, institutions, academia, and strategic allies. The role requires coordinating technical and logistical aspects with participating organizations, managing event logistics (power, security, setup, equipment), and updating invitation databases while tracking confirmations. Additionally, the associate will provide comprehensive operational support during events, including registration and protocol management, and will be tasked with preparing post-event reports detailing results, evidence, and lessons learned, while also consolidating event documentation.
