Responsibilities :
- Source new fabric, trim, and accessory vendors aligned with Innovation Lead priorities via trade shows, directories, and site visits.
- Track market trends to propose relevant new materials and maintain a live prospect pipeline.
- Evaluate samples against specs (composition, MOQ, lead time, performance) and present side-by-side shortlist comparisons.
- Log non-binding baseline pricing and hand off qualified vendors to Purchasing with complete spec profiles.
- Maintain at least one pre-qualified backup vendor per hero material.
- Monitor supply risks (discontinuation, quality drift) and review coverage seasonally with Merchandising.
- Provide material performance data (drape, stretch, shrinkage) and advise teams on sourcing constraints before sampling starts.
- Partner with Data Specialists to log complete material specs, vendor details, and physical swatches into the central database.





Requirements :
- Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Supply Chain, Business, or related fields.
- 2–4 years in textile/garment sourcing, supplier development, or purchasing.
- Proficiency in english.
- Fashion brand or digital print/dyeing background with established supplier networks and hands‑on material testing experience.
- Deep understanding of fabric/trim specs, construction, and performance.
- Ability to evaluate quality, MOQ, lead time, and pricing into clear comparison matrices.
- Skilled in market research, supplier networking, and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Proactive, unbiased, and persistent in stakeholder follow‑ups.
