About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Cost Estimator to support the preparation of construction estimates and budgets for U.S.-based projects, primarily within the roofing industry.

This position is idóneo for someone with a background in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or construction who wants to develop their career in cost estimating, quantity takeoffs, drawing review, and construction budgeting.

This is a fully on-site position in Santiago de Surco, Lima, Peru.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the preparation of construction cost estimates and budgets for residential, commercial, and, when required, government projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating construction scopes, primarily roofing and related trades.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and other construction drawings.
- Analyze quantities, costs, pricing, and expected profitability.
- Identify inconsistencies in drawings, specifications, and project documentation that may impact costs.
- Review project scope and technical specifications before preparing estimates.
- Support the maintenance and update of the company’s cost database.
- Work with standardized estimating methods and different estimating platforms.
- Prepare estimates for internal review and approval.




- Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders.

Requirements

- Student, graduate, or Bachelor’s degree holder in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related construction field.
- At least 1 year of experience in construction, field operations, estimating, or a technical office environment.
- Basic knowledge of construction costs, budgeting, quantity takeoffs, and estimating processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
- Basic knowledge of construction processes and project management fundamentals.
- Last Planner System knowledge is a plus.

This position is 100% ON-SITE in Santiago de Surco, Lima, Peru.

Candidates must currently reside in Peru and have availability to commute to our office in Surco.
