Sufficient to meet credential requirements

Knowledge And Abilities

- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff,

students, parents, and the public contacted in performance of duties

- Demonstrated working knowledge of curriculum

- Knowledge of registration procedures

- Knowledge of counseling objectives, principles and procedures

- Ability to listen to students with patience and understanding

- Ability to identify and determine the basic nature of student problems

and needs and provide assistance

- Ability to provide career guidance and counseling on an individual basis

- Ability to collect and analyze test data, conduct studies, keep records,

and prepare reports

- Knowledge of the ancillary services within the school and how they

relate to the program

- Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate personnel

- Ability to speak and write effectively

Duties And Responsibilities

- Management Area





- Registration

- Articulation and Orientation

- Determine individual needs of students

- Account of individual progress

- Direct Services

- Study student characteristics

- Counsel students

- Confer with parents

- Group guidance

- Provide coordinative and consultative functions to teachers, students

and administration

- Be willing to participate in professional inservice (i.e. college admission,

vocational opportunities/program and professional guidance organization)
