The Opportunity

Join our talent network and connect with U.S. clients for flexible, project-based development work as a Data Platform Engineer (Databricks).

- You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps Engineering.
- Advanced English is required.
- Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
- Extensive experience administering and optimizing Databricks on AWS in enterprise environments.
- Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code for cloud infrastructure automation.




- Hands-on experience automating Databricks jobs, clusters, and serving endpoints using REST APIs and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and reusable CI/CD frameworks across multiple repositories.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of data engineering workflows.
- Strong understanding of Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
- Experience implementing automated code quality and security checks using tools such as SQLFluff, PyLint, and GitHub Actions.
- Proven experience establishing SDLC guardrails, branch protection, code ownership, approval workflows, deployment controls, and secure secret management.
- Hands-on experience managing Databricks Unity Catalog, including access controls and data lineage.
- Strong understanding of AWS IAM, Databricks RBAC, identity providers, and least-privilege access principles.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for cloud and data platforms.
- Experience designing scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient multi-environment data platform architectures.
- Familiarity with Snowflake and modern data engineering platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
- Forensic attention to detail.
