Low Battery is looking for an early-career short-form video editor to join our Los Angeles team for a paid Fall 2026 internship. This is a hands‑on editing role for someone who understands how strong hooks, pacing, captions, sound design, and platform‑native formatting turn raw footage into content people want to watch and share.You will work directly with Low Battery’s short‑form producers, editors, and page managers to support recurring network‑wide output, original formats, timely cultural moments, artist opportunities, and live‑event coverage.The role is fully in office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with select additional shoots, festivals, and tentpole dates scheduled in advance.What You’ll Do
Edit vertical short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, X, and YouTube ShortsSupport recurring output across RapTV, Bars,
and other Low Battery brandsEdit artist interviews, fan content, host‑led formats, original series, live footage, and timely cultural momentsAdd captions, sound design, music, graphics, and brand‑specific packagingComplete same‑day and next‑day edits when requiredExecute repeatable and template‑driven formats while maintaining quality and consistencyCreate alternate hooks, cutdowns, and platform‑specific versions when requestedApply creative feedback quickly and accurately across revision roundsSupport producers by dumping, organizing, and uploading footage following shoots as neededMaintain organized Google Drive folders, project files, exports, and source assets for clean handoffsClearly communicate edit status, deadlines, availability, and blockersSupport rapid‑turn post‑production during planned festivals, shoots, and tentpolesCollaborate in person with producers, editors, and page managers throughout the editing processWhat We’re Looking For A portfolio demonstrating strong vertical short‑form editingProficiency in CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere ProWorking knowledge of Adobe After Effects, including motion graphics, text animation, and basic compositingA strong understanding of hooks, pacing, captions, sound design, and social‑first packagingAbility to follow references and creative direction without losing personal judgmentAbility to apply feedback quickly and reduce repeated notes across revisionsStrong attention to detail across audio, captions, graphics, framing, and exportsReliable communication around deadlines, progress,
and blockersConsistent availability to work in the Downtown Los Angeles office Tuesday through ThursdayAvailability for select planned shoots, festival weekends, and tentpolesGenuine interest in music, entertainment, sports, fashion, gaming, internet culture, or youth mediaWe welcome current students, community‑college students, recent graduates, recent high‑school graduates, gap‑year candidates, and other early‑career editors with the skills and availability to contribute consistently.What Success Looks Like
