Are you an experienced Virtual Medical Assistant with a background in mental health or behavioral health?

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented professional to support a solo, independent psychiatric nurse practitioner practice in New York providing medication management through telehealth and in-person appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and send reminders
- Support patient intake and insurance verification
- Sort and route incoming patient portal messages
- Prepare paperwork for prior authorizations
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims
- Send pre-approved standard patient communications
- Log prescription refill requests and queue them for provider review
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient communication and documentation

Requirements:
- Experience working in a New York mental health or behavioral health practice




- Previous experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant or healthcare administrative professional
- Familiarity with insurance verification, patient intake, scheduling, and claims
- Comfortable handling confidential patient information
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with New York healthcare and payer processes

- Advanced medical billing experience
- Experience supporting a psychiatric nurse practitioner
