About the Role

- Systems that directly support operations, finance, project management, fundraising, and client delivery

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain internal systems, automations, and integrations
- Create and manage custom workflows between tools (e.g., meeting transcripts → Jira tickets)
- Configure and extend Jira workflows to match real operational needs
- Build and maintain APIs and backend services that move data between platforms
- Build internal dashboards, utilities, and operational tools used by staff
- Implement AI-assisted tooling where appropriate (e.g., LLMs, automation, data processing)
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
- Make sound technical decisions and document systems at a practical level
- Maintain and improve existing systems over time, not just ship one-off solutions
- Occasionally assist with maintaining, updating,



or troubleshooting websites built in WordPress and Webflow when needed

Technical Requirements
- Have the ability to evaluate algorithmic complexity and system performance implications to make efficient architectural decisions
- Know how to code well (this is not a no-code or low-code role)
- Have experience building backend systems and APIs
- Be comfortable working with real production data
- Understand how to design maintainable systems, not just quick hacks
- Be able to debug, refactor, and improve existing code
- Work independently with high ownership
- Working knowledge of WordPress and Webflow sufficient to make updates, fixes, and minor enhancements when required
- English proficiency (B1 level or higher)

Preferred experience (not all required):
- JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, NodeJs or similar backend languages
- REST APIs, webhooks, background jobs
- iOS app development (Swift or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of sec
