Tearfund is seeking a skilled and visionary Regional Policy Advisor - Asia to lead our regional advocacy agenda and strengthen partnerships with governments, civil society, and faith-based organisations. In this role, you will champion initiatives that advance climate resilience, sustainable environment and economic development, and peacebuilding—helping communities move from crisis to resilience.
You'll be part of a dynamic regional team, empowering transformative work, leading to justice and care for creation. This is a strategic role with both thought leadership and practical engagement, enabling Tearfund's mission to see people freed from poverty and living transformed lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional strategies on climate change, sustainability, and resilience
- Build strong partnerships
- Equip and mentor churches and communities to positively influence decision-makers
- Represent Tearfund in regional and global platforms
- Contribute to programme design, fundraising, and research
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant field (environmental science,
development studies, public policy, or economics)
- Proven track record in advocacy and influencing policy change in Asia, preferably within an international development or non-profit context
- Strong expertise in economic and environmental sustainability, climate justice, and community development
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and strategic thinking skills
- Fluency in English (a regional language is highly desirable)
