At Tekton Labs, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration/Platform Engineer to lead data migration activities for critical system implementations and modernization initiatives. In this role, you will play a central part in ensuring that complex data is accurately extracted, cleansed, transformed, validated, and successfully migrated from legacy architectures to modern target platforms. Beyond technical execution, you will apply a 360-degree understanding of business workflows to ensure that migrated data perfectly reconciles and enables seamless end-to-end business operations without disruption.

Responsibilities

- Analyze source and target systems to comprehensively understand data structures, relationships, and specific migration requirements.
- Develop and execute automated data extraction processes from databases, APIs, flat files, and legacy platforms.
- Design and implement data cleansing strategies to identify and resolve duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records.
- Build robust ETL/ELT workflows and transformation logic to convert legacy data into target-system formats.
- Develop automated validation and reconciliation processes to compare source and target data,



ensuring total completeness and accuracy.
- Support multiple migration cycles, including mock runs, dry runs, migration rehearsals, and production cutovers.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including data mapping documents, migration runbooks, and reconciliation reports.

Must have

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience executing large-scale data migration and system conversion initiatives.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Experience working with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Shell Scripting.
- Strong experience utilizing reconciliation and validation methodologies.
- Advanced English proficiency is a MUST.

- Experience working in financial services, payments, banking, fintech, or highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
- Experience working with data warehousing and analytics platforms.
- Experience utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies.
