Band 6 - $89,780 - $97,724 plus 12% statutory superannuation

Have you had previous experience in environmental health or completing study in environmental health? Do you have a passion for improving the liveability, health, and safety of the community?

We are currently seeking an individual who has a high level of communication, relationship management and negotiation skills to join our Environmental Health team on a temporary full time basis as an Environmental Health Officer.

Key responsibilities include:
- Respond to and investigate reports of nuisance, wastewater, unreasonable noise and pests in accordance with legislated obligations.
- Respond to and investigate reports of infectious diseases and improve public health outcomes.




- Undertake registration, inspection and sampling legislated requirements of public health registered premises.- Food

- Assist with the provision of Council’s Immunisation service
- Assist with the provision of Council’s mosquito control program
- Tertiary qualifications in Health Science or equivalent.
- Ability to meet the legislation objectives of the role.
- Experience in inspection, review and approvals of onsite wastewater management systems, food and health premises and food sampling.
- Excellent communication skills, relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, effectively plan to meet deadlines and manage competing public health priorities.
