Collection Specialist

Location: On-site - Lima, Peru
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST

We are seeking a Collection Specialist to support collections operations with a strong focus on customer service, communication, and follow-up. This is a support-level role with no leadership or supervisory responsibilities. The position involves managing customer interactions, tracking payments, and ensuring a positive customer experience while working within structured processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances via phone and written communication.
- Deliver clear, professional, and empathetic customer service at all times.
- Perform consistent follow-up on pending payments and open balances.
- Assist with invoice reviews and resolution of basic discrepancies.
- Track payment status and update customer records accurately in internal systems.
- Maintain organized documentation of all collection and follow-up activities.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, balances, and payment status.




- Support daily or weekly collections activity reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate information and smooth workflows.
- Handle a high volume of calls and follow-ups while maintaining service quality.

Qualifications & Skills
- Background in finance, accounting, business administration, or related fields (degree completed or in progress).
- 1 year of experience in collections, accounts receivable call center, or a similar role.
- Experience with inbound/outbound calls and customer follow-ups.
- Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).
- Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and internal systems.
- Familiarity with CRM or billing systems is a plus.
