Knowledge products: Narrative and Visual Design to Raise Awareness of Socio-Bioeconomy in Peru
1.Background
AmazonBeEco is a regional initiative financed by IDB Lab, the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and Conexsus, which serves also as the executing agency in partnership with a strategic coalition including Fundación Aliados (Ecuador), Amazon Conservation Team (Suriname), NESsT (Peru), IC Fundación (Colombia), and Conservation International (Guyana). The project aims to boost income generation for community-based biobusinesses across six countries by integrating biodiversity conservation, traditional knowledge, and economic justice.
NESsT, as the implementing partner in Peru is looking to capture and systemate lessons learned, methodologies, and practical experiences, transforming them into actionable knowledge products that contribute to the project’s Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) strategy and operation. The following themes are covered during the implementation of this project: 1. Technical Support (Technical assistance, management and organizational governance), 2.
Innovation (Technologies, new arrangements and digital solutions), 3. Market Access (Commercialization, channels and certifications), 4. Credit Readiness (financial readiness), 5. Finance (Financial instruments, credit and blended finance).
2.Objective
Consolidate, systematize, and translate knowledge generated from the country operations into structured, high-impact knowledge products (e.g., guides, manuals, case studies), aligned with the project’s Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) strategy and operation.
Ensure technical quality, relevance, and usability of knowledge products, supporting their validation and facilitating their dissemination.
