Our client, a well-established and highly reputable organization in Summerside, PE, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team on a contract basis, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a broad role and wants to contribute across a variety of general accounting functions.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

- Account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Prepare and posting journal entries
- Support financial reporting and month-end activities
- Complete general ledger coding
- Set up and maintaining purchase orders
- Provide general accounting support to the finance team
- Assist with other accounting and financial activities as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

- Approximately 3 - 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in hospitality, entertainment, gaming, or other customer-focused industries would be considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with Oracle software is preferred
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
