Azure IoT Platform Engineer at BairesDev In this role, you'll own the Azure IoT platform end-to-end for a connected hardware product team, from edge gateways through the cloud data path to the APIs that feed web and mobile apps. Your first focus will be scaling fleet operations, turning manual device management into automated, reliable processes that let a small team support a fast-growing fleet. This is your opportunity to work across the full IoT stack, from embedded edge devices to cloud infrastructure, solving problems where reliability at scale is the defining challenge.

What You'll Do

- Own the Azure IoT platform end-to-end, from edge gateways through cloud data pipelines to consumer-facing APIs.
- Automate remote OS and OTA updates across a growing fleet of fielded devices.
- Build and maintain the edge-to-cloud data path powering web and mobile applications.
- Stand up agentic health monitoring and triage tooling to support fleet operations at scale.
- Ensure fleet reliability through robust retry logic, monitoring, and alerting.

What We Are Looking For

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering.
- Strong expertise in the Azure IoT Platform including IoT Hub and IoT Edge modules.




- Hands-on experience with fleet device management and remote OS/OTA updates at scale using Device Update for IoT Hub or equivalent.
- Experience building edge-to-cloud data paths using Event Hub, Functions, and time-series databases, exposed through APIs to web and mobile applications.
- Experience with fleet reliability practices at scale including retries, idempotency, monitoring, and alerting.
- Edge and embedded fluency including MQTT, Modbus, Node-RED, and containerized IoT Edge modules.
- Familiarity with agentic or LLM ops tooling such as MCP servers, RAG over runbooks, or automated fleet health triage.
- Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

- Familiarity with ESP32/Arduino firmware for device-side collaboration.
- Background in predictive maintenance or time-series ML including RUL and anomaly detection.
- Experience with data exploration and visualization using tools like Observable or notebooks.
- Experience with Linux edge devices such as Raspberry Pi and OS lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform, and CI/CD for edge and cloud.
- Experience with .NET, Node.js, or Python.
