Location: Peru (Hybrid: 25% Home Office, 75% Field work ) (Ica, Trujillo, or Chiclayo will be better)
Key responsibilities:
· Manage the assigned territory, market coverage, customer visits, and new business development.
· Prospect for new customers, develop accounts, and generate new sales opportunities.
· Build strong customer relationships, understand their needs, and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
· Manage the sales process from quotation and follow-up through negotiation and closing.
· Develop existing accounts, drive repeat sales, and identify additional business opportunities.
· Manage the sales pipeline, CRM, and sales forecast.
· Monitor market trends, competitors, customer needs, and new opportunities, and share relevant feedback internally.
· Coordinate with internal teams and escalate complex or high-value opportunities when needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
· Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Administration, or a related field.
· At least 3 years of experience in field sales, agricultural support, or a similar commercial role.
· Experience working with growers, nurseries, or agricultural producers is a strong plus.
· Able to travel both in and out of Peru at 75% of time
Skills & Attributes:
· Field-Oriented: Willing to travel extensively and spend time in the field visiting farms and clients.
· Analytical: Ability to collect data, analyze it, and translate it into clear, actionable reports and forecasts.
· Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Spanish; Communicate clearly in written English, simple communication in spoken English.
· Organization:
Strong time management skills with the ability to track visits against outcomes and manage a busy schedule.
· Proactive: A self-starter who can identify problems early, solve issues, and communicate proactively with the team.
· Stable: Demonstrated stability and commitment to long-term career development and able to overcome hardships and challenges.
Growth Path
· This role is explicitly designed as a stepping stone. High performers can expect to progress to independent account ownership and move into a dedicated Field Sales position, with the potential to expand coverage across Peru and other South American markets (Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador).
