About the role

We're looking for an Operator to join our commodity trading team, based in Lima with coverage over operations in Peru. We're a small, growing trading house — meaning direct exposure to senior traders and decision-making, and room to grow as the business does.

Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end execution of physical commodity transactions: contracts, documentation, and trade lifecycle from booking through settlement
- Coordinate logistics between Peru and Sales destination: customs, freight, warehousing, shipment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across trading systems (lot tracking, intercompany legs, shipment status)
- Serve as liaison with counterparties, brokers, freight forwarders, and internal trading, Operations, Finance and Compliance teams
- Support regulatory compliance requirements (including SUNAT processes)
- Identify process gaps and help resolve them as the operations function matures

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in commodity trading operations, international logistics,



or trade execution (experience with minerals and metals is a plus, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments/transactions simultaneously
- Working knowledge of international trade documentation (BLs, COAs, invoices, customs documents)
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Comfortable operating with limited structure and building process as you go
- Available for occasional travel within the region
- Ability to constantly review and adjust priorities
- Ability to adapt to constant change
