Customer Service Officer - Lifeguard
Latrobe Leisure Facilities (Moe/Newborough, Morwell and Churchill) and Outdoor Pools (Moe and Yallourn North)
Ongoing Casual and Fixed Term Casual (Summer Season to 30 April 2027) | $43.09 per hour (includes 25% Casual Loading)
We're looking for Customer Service Officers / Lifeguards to join our Latrobe Leisure team. In this role, you'll help create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our community by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of visitors using our leisure facilities.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the Latrobe City community while building valuable customer service, recreation and aquatic industry experience.

What You'll be Doing
- Supervise patrons using leisure facility and aquatic environments to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Maintain vigilant observation of pool activities and enforce facility rules and safety requirements.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations, including first aid and evacuation procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers via telephone and at the service counter.
- Process memberships, bookings and attendance records using Council systems.
- Maintain clean, tidy and welcoming facilities for all users.
About You You are customer-focused, safety-conscious and enjoy working in a fast-paced community environment. You bring strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You enjoy engaging with people of all ages and can work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with community members.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate confidently with a diverse range of customers.
- Experience with cash handling, computer systems and administrative tasks, with strong attention to detail.
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Level 2 First Aid Certificate,
or willingness to obtain both by Should we add a date in here. Monday 19 th October
